Evalina Carbonell

Mrs. Carbonell, also known affectionately as, “Wally,” received her early training from Pamela Moore at the National Ballet School in Maryland, earning an Advanced Cecchetti Certification. She attended Cecchetti Summer Schools in England and Michigan on scholarships, and received a BFA in Dance from Florida State University. She has received additional training at the Washington Ballet School, Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet School, and Philadanco and made her first professional appearance with the National Ballet Company. Subsequently, Mrs Carbonell danced with the Roxey Ballet Company for six years, performing principal roles in both original contemporary works and classical ballets. Additionally, she has performed as a guest artist at Kenya’s 2009 Inaugural Ball in Washington, DC, as well as with the National Ballet in MD, Voorhees Ballet Theatre, Infinity Dance Theatre, Naganuma Dance, and Olney Ballet Theatre. When dancing isn’t enough She also enjoys teaching Gyrokinesis® and Gyrotonic® as a certified instructor. Mrs. Carbonell joined Dance Iquail in 2012.
