Riccardo Battaglia

Mr. Battaglia started dancing at age 8 at the “Scuola d’Arte New Step” in Pescara, Italy. His training included various styles from ballet, to contemporary, jazz and tap. He won the international Expression competitions in 2008-2010 in Florence and Tip Tap Show in 2007, 2009 & 2010 in Rome. He moved to New York when he was 19 and starting training at the Ailey School as a Fellowship student, studying ballet, Horton, Graham, west African, jazz and improv. He performed at the “Ailey at the Apollo” at the Apollo Theater in Harlem and with Earl Mosley’s “Hearts of Men.” His other performance credits include works by Alvin Ailey, Scott Rink, Earl Mosley, Freddie Moore, Darrell Moultrie, Joyce Trisler, and Nathan Trice. Mr Battaglia joined Dance Iquail in 2011.
